Covid 19 – Most Loners Did NOT even NOTICE ! Read This !

You Realize How Isolated You Have Been

Are you a loner? People who enjoy their own company, and tend to spend their days alone, are often misunderstood by others, and considered strange, anti-social, reserved, or outcasts.

Modern society praises extroverts, the ones that enjoy being in crowds, surrounded by a group of people. Many believe teamwork is the only way to success, and collaboration is the solution to any problem.

However, these beliefs undermine the power of solitude. Let’s clarify things, being alone is not the same as being lonely. Although solitude has almost become a lost art, it is one of the best ways to slow down a bit and become more observant.

People who enjoy time alone are in fact quite impressive, interesting and unique, and being alone can be highly beneficial for both, our physical and psychological wellbeing.

Here is how it can be good for your soul:
Time alone can boost your confidence, as it will remind you of your qualities
It will boost your independence
Away from everyday life, people talking, media, and all other distractions, the time spent alone will clear your mind
It will help you de-stress and relax, as you will think about things that are important to you, not to others
The time-off can boost your concentration, help you become more productive and stimulate you to start pursuing your dreams
It’s hard to remain focused on yourself when you are overwhelmed by so many stimuli. When alone, you have time to decide what is important in your life and establish your priorities
Matthew Bowker, a psychoanalytic political theorist at Medaille College, has researched solitude, and concluded that it is “more devalued than it has been in a long time.”

He notes:

“It’s a deeper internal process. It might take a little bit of work before it turns into a pleasant experience. But once it does it becomes maybe the most important relationship anybody ever has, the relationship you have with yourself.”

Gay prime minister of Luxembourg in historic photograph with lesbian prime minister of Serbia

Two openly gay world leaders – Luxembourg’s prime minister Xavier Bettel and Serbia’s prime minister Ana Brnabić – were pictured together in an incredible display of LGBT+ power.

Xavier Bettel and Ana Brnabić posed with their partners on Sunday, September 8, ahead of a state visit to discuss Serbia’s proposed accession to the EU.

It marked one of the first times that two openly LGBT+ world leaders have joined forces, following an earlier summit in Belgrade and Bettel’s meeting with Irish taoiseach Leo Varadkar in June.

On Twitter, the LGBT+ community were quick to celebrate the “historic” photo.

Bettel became Luxembourg’s first (and the world’s third) openly gay prime minister in 2013. He married architect Gauthier Destenay in May 2015, shortly after his government introduced marriage equality.

Upon taking office in June 2017, Brnabić declared that she did not want to be branded “Serbia’s gay PM”.

Rather, she said, she would like to be known for her “competence, professionalism and trustworthiness”.

While many acknowledged that the fairness of this request, there is a widely-held frustration that LGBT+ rights have not advanced under Brnabić’s leadership.

“She comes from a protected environment, [so] if you ask her, of course [she will say] there is no homophobia,” Dragoslava Barzut, an LGBT+ activist, told the Calvert Journal.

Amnesty noted that Brnabić attended Belgrade Pride in 2017, which “was welcomed by some as progress”.

“However, the authorities failed to protect LGBTI individuals and organisations from discrimination, threats and physical attacks,” Amnesty continued.

“In April, the UN Human Rights Committee urged Serbia to implement hate crime legislation effectively, and to introduce a procedure for legal gender recognition compatible with international standards.”

Brnabić’s partner Milica Djurdjic gave birth to the couple’s first child in February.

The two center-backs continue their work to return to fitness in photos from the AXA Training Centre Friday.

Photos from the AXA Training Centre show the two Liverpool first choice center-backs working individually (but together at the site) in their rehabilitation — and seemingly having a great time, too (plus a Fabinho sighting).

The club let a photographer in so there’s a lot of “zooming in on knees” to be done. Get to work, fundamentally unserious captions added for your pleasure:

OK I WILL THINK ABOUT A DATE BUT BARRY WANTS TO COME ALONG

I KNOW SHE IS YOUR WIFE AND ALL  BUT HEY AM BUSY HERE BRO

BABE THATS ENOUGH SAVE SOME FOR ME !

And on Wednesday night, the pair were reunited at Joe Biden’s inauguration in Washington D. C. The former First Lady of the United States and former President of the United States were all smiles as they greeted each other.

The pair were joined by their families, including Barack Obama and Laura Bush, at the historical event, which saw Joe become President of the United States alongside the first female Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris.

Michelle and George have spoken out about their friendship on several occasions over the years.

In 2018 while appearing on the Today show, the mother-of-two said: “President Bush and I, are forever seatmates because of protocol. That’s how we sit at all the official functions. So he is my partner in crime at every major thing where all the formers gather.

“So we’re together all the time, and I love him to death. He’s a wonderful man. He’s a funny man.” George spoke just as highly of Michelle during an interview with People in 2017.

“She kind of likes my sense of humour. Anybody who likes my sense of humour, I immediately like,” he said.

Both George and Michelle’s families are just as close, with their friendship beginning when Jenna Bush Hager and her twin sister Barbara, along with their mum Laura, showed Malia and Sasha Obama around the White House before they moved in.

Last year, Jenna shared some sweet throwback photos from the moment on Instagram, showing her and Barbara teaching the young Obama girls how to slide down the banister at the historic building.

Michelle and George are firm friends

That very building will be seeing the Biden family move in on Wednesday, with new memories created.

As is tradition, Joe and Kamala were sworn in on the National Mall in Washington, in front of a select number of VIP guests, who also included members of the congress and Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, who were both asked to sing at the ceremony.

The celebrations are set to continue through the evening, with performers including John Legend, Kerry Washington, Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake, while Tom Hanks will host the event.
